Gowanda Police Log

• Joshua A. Satterfield, 27, of Route 39, Gowanda, was charged Dec. 1 with loud exhaust, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, seventh-degree and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after being stopped on Torrance Avenue for a loud exhaust.

According to authorities, a DMV check revealed that Satterfield’s license had been suspended on four occasions since June 30, 2012 for failure to answer summonses and pay fines in Perrysburg and Persia Town courts. In addition, Patrol says that Satterfield was found with five morphine pills and three baggies containing 1.5 grams of cocaine.

Satterfield was arraigned in Persia Town Court and released after posting $400 bail.

• Gunnar J. Dole, 21, of East Main Street, Gowanda, was charged Nov. 25 with petit larceny after Patrol responded to a shoplifting incident at a Buffalo Street business.

Dole is due in Collins Town Court.

• Marquis D. Chase, 30, of Willet Street, Buffalo, was charged Nov. 28 with unlawful possession of marijuana after Patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle parked alone in a church parking lot on East Main Street.

According to authorities, Chase admitted to rolling a marijuana “blunt,” and he was found with two “blunts” and a small bag of marijuana.

Chase is due in Collins Town Court.

• The Gowanda Police Department responded to 169 incidents in the month of November.

• Quinton P. Jones, 34, of Aldrich Street, Gowanda, was arrested Dec. 6 on a warrant issued by Persia Town Court after being stopped on Sandhill Road.

According to authorities, the warrant was issued after Jones failed to pay fines to Persia Town Court. Also, during the traffic stop, a DMV check revealed that Jones’s license had been revoked on Oct. 2, 2012 for a DWI conviction, and an Alcohol Interlock System was mandated for any vehicle he drives once his license is restored. Jones’s vehicle did not have the Interlock System.

Jones was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, and operating a vehicle without an Alcohol Interlock System.

Jones was first arraigned in Persia Town Court on the warrant, where he was released after paying the fines he owed. He was then arraigned in Collins Town Court for the traffic infractions. Following that arraignment, Jones was remanded to Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $1,000 bail.

• Quinton P. Jones, 34, of Aldrich Street, Gowanda, was arrested Dec. 6 on a warrant issued by Collins Town Court for failure to pay fines to Collins Town Court.

Jones was arraigned in Collins Town Court and released after paying his fines.

• James R. Freeman, 19, of Johnson Street, Gowanda, was arrested Dec. 3 on a warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court for violation of probation.

According to authorities, Freeman turned himself in to Gowanda Police.

Freeman was turned over to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department for transport to Cattaraugus County Court.

• Gunnar J. Dole, 21, of East Main Street, Gowanda, was arrested Dec. 6 on a warrant issued by Collins Town Court for failure to appear in court to answer to a petit larceny charge.

Dole was arraigned in Collins Town Court and remanded to Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $1,000 bail.
